Yoga Teacher & Founder POP UP YOGA
It was a lucky coincidence that Deddou stumbled upon a Vinyasa Flow class at Laughing Lotus Yoga Studio in New York City in 2009. It was love at first sight, a feeling of "coming home" so strong, that Deddou decided to complete her first 2 teacher trainings in this vibrant studio in the heart of New York City. Coming from a dancer's background Deddou was intrigued by the creative yoga flow sequences sprinkled with ancient yogi wisdome, the uplifting music, the dynamic and graceful yoga practice.
"I love to fuse dynamic and dance inspired Yoga Flow elements with fundamental principles of therapeutic Vinyasa Krama to create an uplifting experience for a broad spectrum of yoga students."
After completing yoga retreats in India, Australia and South Africa, and trainings in Geneva, Mexico and her teacher trainings in New York City, the former dance teacher started her own yoga classes under the label POP UP YOGA in Switzerland.
Today Deddou is known as a creative and passionate yoga teacher (650h YTT) in the local yoga community. She teaches mainly in Zürich, but also in Zug, Basel, Lucerne and Bern. She coordinates Guerilla Yoga Zug and forms part of WE ARE YOGA Zürich, leads international Yoga retreats and teaches at yoga festivals, is a guest editor for Yogatonic.de and enjoyes collaborating with Guerilla Yoga Zürich and yoga studios throughout Switzerland. Furthermore she collaborates with big and smallhand picked partners, such as: Alnatura Schweiz, tibits AG, biomazing.ch, Focuswater, Kunsthalle Zürich, Manifesta 11 , Giardino Hotel Group and Livelife and many more.

In summer 2014 Marlene completed her Yoga Teacher Training at the Hawaii Yoga Institute. Since January 2015 Marlene teaches her Yoga Flow on a regular basis at POP UP YOGA. She enjoyes to explore her creative expression in her yoga practice and loves to share her passion in her POP UP YOGA classes.

Debora’s yoga path started fifteen years ago when she was a student in dire need of relaxation during exam periods. At that time she was looking for something that clears her mind and helps her handle stress better. Debora found that in her yoga practice and discovered that her body holds a true strength within itself that she had not been aware of before practicing yoga.
Yoga has been a part of her life ever since, on and off the mat and so she had developed the idea of passing on this wonderful feeling to others. In 2016 she was educated as a fully qualified yoga teacher and completed her exam after 200 hours of training at Inside Yoga.
Debora aims to connect body and mind through flowing yoga movements. She wants to encourage all of her students to find their individual paths and change their lives for the better through yoga.

Elvira first read about Yoga as a child, when she found a book in her Mums library. There was something about this Yoga that caught her immediate attention. And yet, it took a number of years, before she actually went to her first class. She was in Bali for the first time during a rather turbulent time in her life. She sought out Yoga with the intention to bring some sort of relaxation and ease back into her life and what she got was so much more.
Ever since Yoga has been a central part in her life. Elvira has been practicing with Richard Freeman, David Swenson and Manju Joice. In 2015 she completed her 200 hours teacher training in India and has been teaching Asthanga Yoga ever since. During a trip to the US a few months later she discovered Rocket Yoga, fell in love and decided to bring it to Switzerland. Only a few months later Elvira did her Rocket TTC in Finland and started teaching Rocket in Zürich.
„My purpose is to inspire others and awake their passion for yoga. My classes are grounding, but playful, challenging, but calming. I create a safe space where students can enquire within, connect to their heart and breath, so yoga can happen.“

Michelle first discovered yoga 15 years ago while at university. She was fascinated by how such simple techniques could completely shift her state of mind and help during times of stress or change. After this first encounter, she started to explore all kinds of yoga styles – ashtanga, bikram, hatha, kundalini, etc. – until she found her home with vinyasa flow. She loves that this style embraces creativity and personal expression, while still being grounded in alignment, theory and philosophy. She undertook her 200hr teacher training in 2011 in Bali with the aim to deepen her own practice, but in the process discovered a passion for teaching, which she has done ever since. She loves teaching classes that are dynamic, fun and synced to good music, yet still alignment based. Michelle is currently undertaking her 500hr advanced teacher training.
“I hope that after coming to my class you feel happy, peaceful and with a lighter bounce in your step. More than anything, I hope that yoga can help you open space in your mind and body tofind joy in your daily life.”
We would love to hear from you!
